Synopsis: During the prosperous reign of King Narai in the Ayutthaya period, the kingdom had close relations with foreign nations, particularly in the west. The influx of immigrants, merchants, missionaries, diplomats and military personnel caused tension among the Ayutthaya people, who were often oppressed by the foreigners.

Lady Pudsorn, the daughter of a respected doctor, inherited her father’s medical knowledge. Aok Luang Indra Ratchpakdee, a handsome and noble police official, was responsible for maintaining peace and safety in the metropolitan area. Monsieur Robert, a handsome French man, worked closely with an important French military diplomat borrowed by King Narai.

Fate brings these three together to investigate the suspicious death of a French cargo ship captain. The captain was found wearing a female sarong cloth with the forbidden Lai Kinaree pattern, which is only allowed for royal ladies in the palace. This case could potentially lead to war between the French army and the Ayutthaya
